Thirty First Week of 2010

Veni, vidi, vici. Caesar's pompous words sounded so cool growing up. After all, why not celebrate your achievement by putting everything in the first person POV?

While those thoughts certainly occurred as I drove back to my apartment from St. John's at the end of the TFA Institute, God was gracious enough to remind me through a flat tire incident that everything is from, through and for Him. Even the past four weeks and craziness during training, tears and smiles...I couldn't do these by myself. In fact, all my life--all my relationships, all my work, all my future...it is so NOT what I came for, what I saw and I conquered. His work is so evident in my life. I can't but sing this Steve Fee song I heard this morning...

Before the world was made, before you spoke it to be
You were the King of Kings, yeah you were, yeah you were
And now you’re reigning still, Enthroned above all things
Angels and saints cry out, We join them as we sing

Glory to God, Glory to God
Glory to God, Forever

Creator God you gave me breath so I could praise
Your great and matchless name, all my days, all my days
So let my whole life be a blazing offering
A life that shouts and sings the greatness of the King

Take my life and let it be
All for you and for your glory
