Friends--from college, work, church and elsewhere: I really, really want to meet up with you. But at the moment, I am trying to be faithful to the task at hand, which is becoming a devoted teacher who can be functional even with his workload so that he can also resume his relationships that have been built prior to, and during, teaching. Please do believe me when I say that I will try to catch up with you at some point this year.
These words keep my heart at peace, even as I am at times bitter and sad at my reality at the moment:
1 Peter 1:6-7
In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
